The international festival that celebrates the ancient trade and cultural routes of Europe returns to Rovigo from November 6 to 16, 2025 for its second edition, transforming the city into an international crossroads of cultural meetings and performances.
“On the Amber Roads,” was conceived by Elisabetta Brusa, the artistic director of the event, with the idea of narrating and enhancing the rich historical and archaeological heritage of Polesine.
The organization is managed by the Foundation for the Development of Polesine, with the support of the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation.
The focal point and nerve center of the festival titled in this new edition "Amber and Glass: Wandering Transparencies", is the Museum of the Great Rivers, a symbolic place that houses precious archaeological testimonies related to amber. Its spaces will welcome the public on a journey through millennia of history, where ancient artisanal techniques will come to life through conferences and experiential workshops.
The museum's rooms will transform into meeting and discovery places, dedicated to creative workshops, thematic exhibitions, and activities specifically designed for children, creating experiences capable of engaging the whole family.
This edition will also involve other locations in the city that will come alive with multidisciplinary events aimed at promoting the culture of the ancient trade routes of amber and glass, transforming Rovigo into a wandering representation capable of reviving ancient knowledge and the mythological suggestions that characterize its history.
