Venice Design Week is an international event dedicated to design in all its forms, transforming Venice into a widespread creative laboratory across historic spaces, galleries, museums, ateliers, and lesser-known venues throughout the city. Founded in 2010 and organized by the Cultural Association Arte e Design Venezia, the festival fosters encounters between the public, designers, companies, and cultural institutions through moments of dialogue, exhibitions, installations, and workshops.
During the ten days of the event, Venice becomes the stage for exhibitions, site-specific installations, and discussions that explore the frontiers of contemporary design, from technological innovation to sustainability, from product and lighting design to jewelry and interfaces.
Venice Design Week is a participatory platform that encourages direct interaction with designers, guided tours, interactive workshops, conferences, performances, and experiential routes throughout the city. With the support of institutions, public bodies, and international partners, the initiative promotes relationships and networking within the design world, and collaborates with universities and academies to engage new generations.
Special events animate Venice’s calli and campielli, offering visitors an immersive experience in the dialogue between design and project culture within the city.
