The Alta Lessinia Cross-Country Ski Centre is located in one of the most picturesque corners of the Veronese plateau, with a spectacular view that sweeps from the Apennines to the Dolomites. The Malga San Giorgio ski district offers more than 50 km of trails that wind their way around the magnificent plateau between San Giorgio, Bocca di Selva and Passo Fittanze, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park.
The famous Translessinia trail, the Gaibana competitive track and all other routes are suitable for all, whether you're out on an excursion or an athlete, and they're ideal no matter how much snow falls.
There are two points of departure: Malga S. Giorgio is well-suited for those who want to become familiar with the technique on the wide plain of the cross-country skiing stadium. For those, on the other hand, who wish to embark on the Translessinia, the departure point is from Bocca di Selva, which is “technically” easier as the ascent toward the Podesteria is not as steep as the departure from S. Giorgio.
In Bosco Chiesanuova there is a modern ice rink, with an open-air section giving you the chance to enjoy magical moments on skates and take lessons with masters of figure skating and ice hockey.
You need to be in shape, both psychologically and physically, and you must have the right equipment to be able to face all weather conditions.
