Do you want to spend half a day protected by the shade of woodland packed with oak, chestnut and manna ash trees? Follow this easy and relaxing route through the gentle landscape of the Euganean Hills. The route leading to Monte Ricco is circular, marked as no. 6, with the starting point behind the railway station of Monselice.

The "San Bernardino" trail is an easy 10-kilometre loop that starts from the village of Mossano, in the province of Vicenza. Centuries ago, this town was very rich in waterways and the inhabitants exploited this characteristic by developing the industry of milling, building 12 mills that remained in activity until after the Second World War. The most famous, and photographed, example is the Mulino Mucchietto with its large wooden wheel that still works today.

This is a medium-difficulty excursion that takes you to one of the most scenic and exciting locations in the Veneto Dolomites. You can leave your car at the small car park next to Lake Antorno, 1,866 metres above sea level (or at one of the car parks a little further down). Take path ‘CAI 122’ which, on a slight slope, climbs up to Forcella Bassa (1,880 m a.s.l.) and then on to Forcella Auta (1,984 m a.s.l.).

This snowshoe walk takes you to one of the most breathtaking and picturesque places in the Belluno Dolomites. In fact, the great South Tyrolean mountaineer, Reinhold Messner, once defined Mount Rite as “the most interesting observation point in the entire Dolomite area”, and who can blame him?

The Alta Lessinia Cross-Country Ski Centre is located in one of the most picturesque corners of the Veronese plateau, with a spectacular view that sweeps from the Apennines to the Dolomites. The Malga San Giorgio ski district offers more than 50 km of trails that wind their way around the magnificent plateau between San Giorgio, Bocca di Selva and Passo Fittanze, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park.

This easy route starts from Praciadelàn, just above the village of Calalzo di Cadore, and follows the CAI path no. 255 (which is accessible for off-road vehicles in summer). The route goes up the long scree slope of Val d'Oten, a long valley that separates the Marmarole mountain chain from the imposing Antelao massif, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Gallio Cross-Country Ski Centre in Campomulo is one of the largest of its kind in Italy, with over 150 kilometres of trails, where you can enjoy Nordic skiing amid the spectacular surroundings of snow-covered woods and unspoilt landscapes.

This is a paradise not just for sports enthusiasts, but also for the whole family, with the Snow Fun Park offering plenty of fun for children, as well as for those who want put on some snow shoes and immerse themselves in nature, enjoying the fairy-tale landscapes.

Nature excursion enthusiasts will greatly enjoy the Cadore Dolomites, especially in winter, which offer beautiful landscapes and countless possibilities to explore them, including with snowshoes. Snowshoeing is a sport which can be enjoyed by all, even children; it allows you to admire extraordinary landscapes and discover untouched nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes, in a magical and almost surreal silence.
