Giro sciistico della Grande Guerra

Col di Lana, the "bloody mountain" of World War One, offers today the unique opportunity to visit the scenes that witnessed terrible battles in the first trench war, and to enjoy the spectacular landscapes formed by rocks, snow and ice.

Col di Lana is in fact the centre of the skiing route which passes the military stations and the tunnels that date back to the conflict of 1915-18, among which are the noteworthy outposts Sass de Stria, Lagazuoi, Tofane, Marmolada and Padon.

It also brings you to visit the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, Civetta and Pelmo, visible from the Col dei Baldi, Cinque Torri and Tofane, which can all be admired from the highest point of the route, the Lagazuoi mountain, at an altitude of 2,778 m.
