A path that leads you from the Alps to the thresholds of the Lagoon, crossing some of the most recognizable landscapes of Veneto. You will follow ancient transit and pilgrimage routes which for centuries connected the mountain environment to the Venetian plain, transforming your journey into an experience that blends spirituality, nature and historical heritage.
The path retraces the journey which, according to tradition, Henry of Treviso, patron of woodcutters and vine-growers, made from Bolzano to Treviso, the city where his tomb became a site of pilgrimage and veneration for the numerous miracles attributed to him.
You enter Veneto at Primolano, heading down through the woods of the Altopiano di Asiago 7 Comuni and following the course of the Brenta to its iconic crossing on the Ponte degli Alpini in Bassano del Grappa. From here the plain opens up, leading you through walled cities and symbolic places such as Castelfranco Veneto and Badoere with its unmissable Barchessa, until you reach Treviso. The final stage of the pilgrimage takes you to the gates of the Venetian Lagoon to discover Altino and its priceless archaeological heritage.
Consisting of cycle and foot paths and existing trails, including the famous Treviso-Ostiglia, the route is accessible and well-connected. The presence of the railway, which runs parallel to much of the route, ensures the way can be easily accessed and adapted to individual needs.
