The Romea Strata

A very long trail that crosses Europe and the Veneto

The Via Romea Strata is a historic road that links Europe to the heart of Italy, crossing Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria, along trails marked by centuries of history and traditions. It is a network of ancient roads that enters Italy from Tarvisio and continues through six regions towards the Eternal City.

The Alta Via of the Great War

The ‘Alta Via’ (High Altitude Trail) of the Great War is an itinerary comprising sixteen stages over 200 kilometres in the Vicenza Pre-Alps. The journey combines nature, history and identity, with restored trenches, mountainside forts, tunnels carved into the rock and shrines that hold stories that can emotionallly move those who walk these paths.
