The Val d'Oten is a long valley that separates the Marmarole chain from the mighty Antelao massif. The Montagna Spaccata is a deep mountain crevice caused by the Torrazzo river, located not far from the ski lifts of Recoaro Mille, in the province of Vicenza. The alluring path, with spellbinding natural effects and contours, inside the crevice climbs 92 meters.

With over 1600 hectares, the Forest of Somadida is the largest forest of Cadore and one of the most beautiful forests of the Dolomites. The crown on this beautiful forest, located in Palus San Marco, consists of the majestic peaks of Cristallo, Sorapiss and Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

The Forest of Somadida in the past was used by La Serenissima [Venetian Republic] as a reserve of valuable timber for its navy, while today it is a protected area and containing natural and wildlife heritage of great value.

Alta Via dell'Orso is the name of the circular trail that starts from Colle Santa Lucia and winds its way through fascinating and wild Dolomite landscapes. The route was inspired by the novel “La pelle dell’orso” (The skin of the bear), by Matteo Righetto, and by the journey that the protagonists take in search of the bear called “el Diàol” (the devil).
