Veneto Trails Regional Day 2026
Do you know how many trails criss-cross the Veneto region? You wouldn’t believe it!
There are spiritual and religious routes, trails linked to the region’s history, and paths immersed in nature and the countryside. Some start beyond the region’s borders and continue towards other destinations, whilst others cross the Veneto from one province to another, taking in mountains, hills, plains and towns.
It all begins on Wednesday 21 October at Palazzo Grandi Stazioni in Venice with a conference in the morning and a round-table discussion in the afternoon, where institutions, operators and local representatives will come together to share experiences, strategies and best practices.

On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, the Veneto region will be showcased through its walking routes with a programme of activities, excursions and initiatives open to anyone wishing to discover and explore them, from the most experienced walkers to those looking to spend a family day out in the fresh air.

Villa Rechsteiner
Villa Rechsteiner is a Venetian Villa from the 17th century located in Piavon di Oderzo (TV). Born as a summer residence for the Venetian nobility for managing agricultural activities, it is part of the Rechsteiner Estate, which today represents a perfect example of a multifunctional complex.
The manor house, the nerve center of the property, features a symmetrical quadrangular plan, developed over three floors, with a layout that allows observation of all four external sides from the center of the building. The central body is flanked by 17th-century structures (former barns and stables) connected by annexes from the 19th century.
The south facade facing the park is decorated with frescoes, in bright colors, referencing Greek mythology (including the myths of Niobe, Phaethon, Zeus, and Latona) and symbols of fertility (pomegranates, geese, and snails), likely created to celebrate a noble wedding and accompany moments of gathering and contemplation.
The green heart of the Estate and the Villa is undoubtedly the Rechsteiner romantic park, in Nordic style, strongly desired by Friederich Rechsteiner, founder of the Estate. The park covers over 3 hectares and within it houses centuries-old trees (including silver poplars and magnolias), bee hives, a charming pond enriched by water lilies and a Monet-style bridge, and an ancient underground ice house. In the heart of the park stands the Tea Temple, now used for the celebration of civil weddings.
The Villa and the historical annexes (such as the portico, the pigeon tower, the farmworkers' village, and the wine cellar) retain their period charm, currently hosting cultural events, weddings, guided tastings, and tours, the company headquarters, and the private residence of the owners.
<p>Villa Rechsteiner is not accessible from the inside. The park of the villa is open to visitors during specified periods, the hours and methods are from June to August Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From September to May, however, the park hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.</p>
<p>Villa Rechsteiner is not accessible internally. In the Estate, Tour&Taste is organized which includes a visit to the Historic Park, the Wine Cellar, and the courtyard of the Barchessa, as well as the frescoes of Villa Rechsteiner, along with picnics in the park and other customized visits, with variable duration and pricing.
