Walled cities in the province of Belluno
There are two cities in the province of Belluno that bear the title of the Walled Cities of Veneto: Feltre with its discreet beauty and elegance and Pieve di Cadore.
Walled cities in the province of Padua
We start with Padua itself which preserves precious evidence of the city walls built starting from 1195, while the renaissance walls from the early 1500s are almost entirely preserved.
Walled cities in the province of Treviso
The route starts from Asolo, with the majestic Rocca fortress, the Castello della Regina Cornaro, the Palazzo della Ragione and the Cathedral. Castelfranco Veneto pays homage to his illustrious son, Giorgione, through the Museum bearing his name and the Cathedral with the extremely famous artwork "Madonna and Child Enthroned". Within the twelfth century walls there is also the Teatro Accademico.

Naturally defended by the water, Venice organised the defence of the lagoon and the heart of the Serenissima Venetian Republic through monitoring the main mouth of the harbour up to the Lido, building the two opposing castles of S.Andrea (1571) and S. Nicolò (1574).

Walled cities in the province of Vicenza
Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its uniqueness due to the genius of the architect Palladio, containing 23 monuments in the historical centre and 16 villas in the province, Vicenza was had walls on the western side since the Roman times. The Basilica Palladio, the Teatro Olimpico, the Loggia del Capitaniato Palazzo Chiericati, location of the Civic Museum, Villa la Rotonda and Palazzo Valmarano are just some of the universal treasures that welcome visitors to this area.
Monte Grappa
Monte Grappa marks the border between the Provinces of Treviso, Vicenza and Belluno but, rather than dividing them, it unites them in an extraordinary landscape. Here the mountain is sweet and wild at the same time, with high altitude pastures, dense forests and valleys dug by the water. But it is also a place of memory: the Military Shrine, with its white arches, dominates the summit and tells a story engraved in stone and wind.
It's a short step from high altitude slopes to the beauty of the villages. At the foot of Monte Grappa, Asolo offers a mix of medieval streets, Renaissance villas and views that have inspired poets and travellers. It's in perfect contrast to the wildest soul of the mountain, which today represents an open-air gym. Trekking, mountain biking and paragliding guarantee strong emotions, while the hillside huts and taverns invite a journey into authentic flavours. Here every path leads far, between nature, history and wonder.
