The Museum of Flight
The Castle of San Pelagio is surrounded by three hectares of green land. We are located in Due Carrare, in the province of Padua. This is the place that, between 1917 and 1918, welcomed poet Gabriele D'Annunzio as he prepared to fly over Vienna, a notable episode of the Great War that changed the castle's fate. As a consequence, the Zaborra family, owner of the villa, decided to transform part of the property into the Museum of Flight.
The Book House
One feels as if it is fairytale and yet it is reality: at Tambre, in the province of Belluno, a beautiful book-shaped construction exists, which is completely built out of wood and full of unique features and details. The 'Casa dei Libri' is the work of the Venetian artist Livio De Marchi, a sculptor reknown for his creations.
The Labyrinth dedicated to Borges
There is a green corner on the Venetian island of San Giorgio Maggiore where the streets branch off and merge: this is the Labyrinth dedicated to Jorge Luis Borges, designed by the Englishman Randoll Coate at the request of the Argentine writer's wife 25 years after his death.
