The Comelico Valley is home to over 30 kilometres of trails that wind their way around the stunning tourist circuit, starting from the Cross-Country Skiing Stadium and reaching all the way up to Val Grande, following the beautiful sloping fir trees dating back centuries and even passing by the “Terme delle Dolomiti” spa, in the magnificent Padola di Comelico Superiore valley.
Molinetto della Croda
Molinetto della Croda is a historical water mill from the sixteen century situated in the Lierza Valley, in the town of Refrontolo in the Treviso province. It is a typical example of rural architecture with original foundations which are set into the rocky face of the mountain - the Croda. Over time the water mill has undergone a number of extensions, to then include also the houses of the families of mill workers. Used until 1953, the mill was then abandoned until work began to restore it, renovating the structure and functioning of the old mill.
Snowshoes Cinque Torri
Rif. Scoiattoli acts as an excellent lookout point onto the Cinque Torri not far below; after having taken in the view walk left towards the small leaning Torre Inglese. Walk through the tunnel formed by the Torre Quarta Alta and Bassa to enter a labyrinth of twisted, broken towers and pinnacles. These are the remains of the giant prehistorical collapse of Monte Averau high above. These enormous rocks have continued to fracture and break up throughout time to create the current, fantastic formations.
Vialone Nano Veronese PGS Rice Tour
The tour kicks off at Buttapietra, about 15 km south of Verona, following the provincial road leading to Vigasio, and immediately coming across Villa Giuliari at Settimo di Gallese. Built in the seventeenth century from a design by architect Alessandro Pompei, the villa took on its current neoclassical appearance the following century. A short detour to the municipal road "Alpone" will lead you to the isolated Corte Zera Bampi, which dates back to the late seventeenth century, and its oratory dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
